I make the best french toast ever! Since I was a kid, I adapted the french toast recipe my dad taught me to my personal liking. Hope you like it!
Yields 5 slices of Tasty French Toast
Prepare the cinnamon/sugar mix.
I make a 1:1 and keep it in the cupboard in a neat little steel shaker.
Also, warm your favorite syrup.
Andrew likes to warm his pure maple syrup in a Pyrex measuring cup in the microwave for 20 seconds on high (1/2 cup)
Lisa likes to warm Mrs Butterworth’s on the stove while cooking.
Ingredients:
5 eggs
1/4 cup of half & half
Vanilla to taste (a dollop ~1.5 Tsp)
2T Sugar (or Splenda)
Cinnamon to taste (~1 T – I like more)
Whisk the hell out of it between bread soakings
Soak bread in bowl until saturated with egg mix.
Best bread Hint: Cinnamon Raisin Bread
Spray pan with non-stick non-flavored Pam
While pan frying your toast, sprinkle liberally the sugar/cinnamon mix and when you flip your toast, again sprinkle liberally the sugar/cinnamon mix.
Serve and soak your delicious FT with your favorite warmed syrup.

This past anniversary weekend, Andrew made FT for me. Each time I returned to the top of the stairs to fetch water, tape, or whatever during our production area renovations, the cinnamon hung in the air for hours. Mmmmm… what a wonderful welcome.
