The Act of Branding
My CREATIVEGoddess blog and ecstewart.com site is hosted by WordPress. When you see avatars that accompany comments made by people like you, you may see a unique image or you may see a general blue star as a placeholder awaiting your uniqueness. If you’re anything like me, we’re definitely image conscious.
If you see a blue icon next to you name, it’s time to swap it out and get your own gorgeous mugshot in that space! You own it, convert it!
The 3 Steps
Wordpress allows me to automatically import a universal avatar through the third party application called Gravatar. Gravatar stands for Globally Recognized Avatar, which means it can be used all over the web attached to your email. Signing up for a gravatar.com account is FREE, and all that’s required is your email address. Once you’ve signed up you can upload your avatar image and soon after you’ll start seeing it on gravatar enabled sites!
1) Sign Up for the Free Account
2) Upload your image. Here’s how:
3) If you have a WordPress account (which I highly recommend if you’re a creative type), engage your Gravatar through your profile.

Show me your Gravatar!!
This quick and dirty project is one of those ways that allows you to expose your brand on the smallest of levels. It’s important to note that just because your image is small, doesn’t mean it’s insignificant. We’d love to see how you’ve implemented your Gravatar.
